Illustrator Wanted:
Belhumeur Books is looking for an illustrator for the first book in our brand-new children’s picture book series — and we want this to be the start of a long partnership, not a one-off gig. We have steady work planned across multiple series.
The details:
- $3,000 flat per book, paid in milestones
- Negotiated royalties on future books
- $100 paid test for two finalists
- Prominent cover and title-page credit
- Human-made original artwork only — no generative AI
We’re after warm, whimsical, expressive characters and lived-in family moments. If that’s your work and you want steady book commissions for the foreseeable future, we’d love to see your portfolio.
To apply: email belhumeur.books@gmail.com with your portfolio link, 2–3 relevant samples, and a short intro.
Applications close October 15, 2026.
